An Oddish Tale
Oddish Tale: For this short, I was responsible for the Lighting and character expression textures. Directional white lights were used for some of the sharp outlines and highlights you see on the characters, they were catered per shot! It was really fun creating lighting for something so stylized that we really could see how it all fit together in Comp.



The first project I worked on that has a super stylized, watercolor look. Our environments although existing in 3D space, only came together in Comp stages, so there was often slap-comps I made to make sure our look was consistent before it was composited in the end.
It's night time, so most lights I used were white lights, with the occasional blue fill light. Our shadows for our characters always had to be soft!
